Science/Technology Nail Art, featuring bornprettystore stamping

Hey y'all!

This week's prompt for the FingerFood Theme Buffet is Science/Technology, and coincidentally I received a really cool plate from bornprettystore to review, so in true kismet fashion, today you get this science themed nail art.

Science and Technology inspired nailart featuring blackboard (chalkboard) nail art with equations, graphing paper, and a chemistry beaker overflowing with purple liquid and smoke.

I think this look is the perfect kind of fun for that math and/or science geek in your life - even if it's you!  Admittedly because there are 3 different nail looks in the overall mani, the total look includes 9 polishes including stamping polish and matte top coat.

L-R: MoYou Nails Red, elf Mint Cream, Konad Black, Sally Hansen White On, Barry M Espresso, Konad White, L'Oreal Berry Nice and Lilac Coolers
Of course, the real star of this show is the stamping, courtesy of an awesome themed plate which I found in the new arrivals section of the BPS site.

bornprettystore stamping plate QA95

This plate is listed as the Nail Art Stamp Template Mathematical Formula Pattern and it is plate number QA95.  As you can see, it features lots of different equations (most of which I have no idea what they mean!  It's all Greek to me, harhar.) and two different sizes of graphing paper grids, as well as the beaker and molecule bits on the top.  How fun is that?

I wanted to use as much of the plate as possible, so I divided this into a skittlette look and painted my thumb, ring, and pinky with Espresso, my index with Mint Cream, and White On for my middle finger nail base.

All of those fun equations are stamped in White of course, and the graphing paper is in Red.  I then added the beaker in Black and was finally able to use the "leadlight" technique to add my purple jelly polish (Berry Nice) inside, making it look like it was filled with liquid.  I then added the streaming trails of the same polish, and the smoke effect in Lilac Cooler using a detail brush.  When all my stamps were dry, I added a coat of Beauty UK matte top coat to turn my glossy nails into the perfect science-y nail art!

I'm super pleased with the quality of this stamping plate.  I had almost no trouble getting the images to transfer, and I love the overall look.
