ManiMonday: Wimbledon Nail Art, featuring e.l.f.

*** This post contains some sample products which were sent for review. ***

Hey y'all!

In the midst of all the World Cup frenzy, another big sporting event has been taking place right here in England.  Wimbledon's final matches are this Friday, so I thought y'all might wanna see some nail art inspired by the Wimbledon Championships.

Wimbledon Nail Art

I created this fun green and yellow look with a variety of items from my e.l.f. collection.

L-R: e.l.f. Matte Finisher, Clear, Green Machine, Gold Star, Mint Cream, Sunflower
I started by applying two coats of Green Machine to my ring fingernail, and 2 coats of Mint Cream to all others.  When dry, I used a dotting tool to add a series of dots along the pale green nails to mimic the look of a tennis ball bouncing back and forth along the court.  I actually did 2 coats of the dots because they weren't as opaque as I wanted the first time around.  I used a large dotting tool for this, but at this size you could easily substitute the end of a makeup brush or bobby pen, or a pen or pencil. If you look around your house, there are lots of things that could be used for easy nail art!

My accent nail is dark forest green, like the walls of the Wimbledon courts.  I added Gold Star on that finger for added pizazz - after all, it's ALL about winning the gold, right?

When everything was dry, I sealed it in first with a coat of e.l.f. Clear, and then topped that with the Matte Finisher for the perfect finish!

I would love to hear what you think of this look.  Do you watch tennis, and have you been keeping up with the matches?  Sound off below in the comments.  Hey, speaking of comments, I installed the IntenseDebate system last week and I hope that allows those of you who read my blog on mobile phones to comment, because I know that had been a problem!

Also, before you leave... have you entered the giveaway yet?  This summer is going to be a bit giveaway crazy around here.  The £20 Paypal cash giveaway ends in a few days, and then I am joining in on a much bigger multi-blogger international giveaway that will have bigger prizes!  I recently got word that I should be able to host a Born Pretty Store giveaway soon, as well.  I really hope to see some of you regular readers scoring some of those prizes!

I hope you're all off to a fantastic start for the week, and I'll see ya soon!
